Trainee Sales Executive

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and am bitious Trainee Sales Executive to being their motor trade career at SMC Aldershot Renault/Dacia!

  • Length: Full Time / Permanent
  • Salary: Competitive
  • Reporting to: Sales Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly Sales team as a Trainee Sales Executive. The role involves basic duties with the sales department initially. Over time the role will evolve as the successful candidate learns more about the products and services that we offer, with the expectation that they will become a fully-trained Sales Executive.

The suitable candidate would have sales experience, be motivated to learn the role, and an interest in cars would be beneficial. The candidate will need to be able to build lasting rapports with customers, as well as adaptable to working both as part of a team and as an individual in a fast-paced environment. Full training will be provided.

Our Sales Executives at SMC Aldershot work Monday to Friday 8:45am to 6pm, and Saturday 9am to 5pm, with an hour lunch break each day and a day off in the week and Sunday 10am to 4pm on a rotational basis .

  • Follow sales processes to ensure compliance.
  • Works as a full member of the dealership team.
  • What we’re looking for in a Trainee Sales Executive:

Previous sales experience is desirable.

  • Excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills.

SMC Aldershot - Workshop Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Workshop Controller at SMC Aldershot!

  • Location: SMC Aldershot
  • Role: Workshop Controller
  • Length: Full Time/Permanent
  • Salary: £37,000 OTE

We are looking for someone enthusiastic and motivated to lead our multi-brand workshop team as a Workshop Controller. The role involves ensuring the smooth running of the multi-brand (Renault, Dacia, SEAT) workshop, scheduling work to meet the customers’ needs, and meeting workshop targets.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable and innovative with their approach to working and have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to build rapport with customers, and when necessary, explain to customers the work required. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, experienced, and ready to make an impact from their first day! Main dealer or large independent workshop experience, and familiarity with vehicle health check systems is preferable.

Our Workshop Controllers work Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm, and Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm on a rotational basis.

  • Ensuring aftersales processes are carried out efficiently to meet aftersales KPIs.
  • Overseeing workshop loading and efficiency.
  • Proactively arranging workshop bookings.
  • Pricing of VHCs/additional work required.
  • Ensure all work is carried out competently, and to manufacturer standards
  • Liaise with customers where appropriate
  • Lead and work as part of a team
  • Provide training and development for team members
  • Work closely with the technicians to meet the required efficiency standards

What we’re looking for in a Workshop Controller:

  • Previous experience in a workshop/as a technician
  • Ability to work on own initiative or with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills.
  • Must have flexible ‘can do’ approach.
  • Polite, calm and approachable personality.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Proficient in relevant computer application and systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
