Update from 19/07/21 - Step 4 of the Governmnet roadmap for England
We are following government advice and we are asking our customers to wear a mask when you enter one of our branches, unelss you are medically exempt from wearing a mask. We would also ask that you please respect social distancing and for the foreseeable future screens will be in place on desks used by staff and customers alike.
We would like to thank both our staff and our customers in handling this next transition safely.
Update 05/04/21 Non-essential retail will be able to reopen
We are please to say that tollowing guidence from the UK Government all non-essential retail will be able to reopen as from the 12th April. So we look forward to welcoming customers back into our showrooms again from this date.

Update 05/01/21 Our showrooms remain closed but we are still open online and our service departments remain open for booked appointments.
Following government guidance from last night’s briefing we are pleased to say that we are still here to support you.
Our service departments continue to be open as normal by appointment and are taking bookings now, so please make sure you don't leave vital servicing, repairs or your MOT until the last moment when you may require your vehicle.
Whilst the new rules mean that our showrooms are closed for customer visits for sales, but open to access our service departments, we are still open online and you can still book a veirtual appointment

UPDATE 23/12/20 Our showrooms are closed to customers from the 26th December.
Following today’s Government announcement, we are sad to say that as of 26th December ALL of our showrooms will be closed to customers closed, but we are pleased to say that we are open online.The showrooms will be open for access to our service deprtments only.
UPDATE 19/12/20 Our Woking/St Johns and Weybridge showrooms are closed to customers from the 20th December but open online, but out Aldershot showrooms remain open as normal.
Following tonight's news from the Government it is is with regret that AGAIN our Woking/St Johns and Weybridge showrooms will be closed to customers 20th December until further notice, however they will be available online due to Tier 4 restrictions.
COVID 19 measures at SMC Motor Group branches as from 2nd December 2020 - Showroom openings...
As from the 2nd December 2020 we will be welcoming our customers back into our showrooms again as we did prior to the 5th November closure following Government advice.
Please be assured that we will still be maintaining social distancing rules and the wearing of face masks will still be required by customers and the rules for test drives will be also as before. Please check you desired franchise for a full list of the requirements.

As you are aware the Government has instructed that all non-essential retail operations must close as from Thursday 5th November. SMC Motor Group will be following rules set down by the Government for England for a national lockdown and as such our showrooms will clo
Our service departments will remain open for planned work only and MOT's again by prior appointment only basis to ensure we do not have too many people in our branches at the same time.
Our showrooms will close for sales customers, but access will be allowed for customers to access our service reception areas only.
We are pleased to say that customers can still purchase a new or used cars or vans from us online. You can secure a guaranteed part-exchange valuation, apply for finance and reserve a car, all without leaving the comfort of your home!
We will still be open online if you would prefer. From the first click all the way to your driveway!
Our dedicated sales teams are here and eager to help you in any way we can. We are currently offering video tours of all our used cars (click here to book one) via Zoom and Skype.
We are also able to value your current vehicle remotely, talk you through our fantastic suite of payment options and help advise you on our full range of vehicles.
By prior appointment we can also arrange to have vehicles unlocked outside our showroom for you to view and sit in, safe in the knowledge we will fully sanitise it both prior to and after your visit. Once we have found the perfect new car for you can then collect it safely using our contactless Click and Collect option.
In order to support social distancing however, it is imperative that we limit the number of customers and colleagues in our dealerships (service) at any one time. As such, our service departments will operate strictly on an appointment only basis, please contact your dealership to make a booking.
Our service receptions will be observing the 2 metre social distancing will be observed and screens will be fitted to desks for the benefit of staff and customers. Hand washing and sanitising products are freely available across all of branches for your use and protection.
The changes we have made affect not only visits to an SMC branch, but also affect the, use of protective covers and the re-sanitising of your vehicle following planned work or MOT.
Our staff have also been trained to observe social distancing for collection of your vehicle for service/repair and its subsequent return and the use of protective gloves and masks where appropriate.
Without doubt 2020 has been the most challenging year during the Group’s 36 years of being in business; we have had to adapt and reconfigure the way in which we operate to ensure your safety and we want to thank you for your understanding and continued support during this unsettling time.
We hope that these changes that we have implemented will make you feel safe and confident that you are dealing with the SMC Motor Group that you know well, but one that has made the right changes for the right reasons to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and customers.
